I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is why a man keeps a house he is never seen to live in.

I have kept a ledger for two years. Not of grain — of releases. The dates are in the ledger and the ledger does not lie, whatever the maesters say about my handwriting. A keep built on ten farms and no walls maps one to one onto Energy, and the fact that none of you know it is the whole problem. I did not make the connection. I merely reported it.
