Settle an argument — who poisoned Joffrey, and who let it happen

A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: who poisoned Joffrey, and who let it happen. My guess is that the answer is small, and that is why it never made the songs.

The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.

Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
