This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.
The question, put plainly: how a bastard's name changes what a man is allowed to become. I can see a reading where everyone is a little bit right.
Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.
I have lost sleep over smaller things, and I do not regret this one.
