I should like to know what Rhaegar was doing at the Tower of Joy

Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is what Rhaegar was doing at the Tower of Joy. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

That is all I have, and it took me years to gather.
