I should like to know whether the red priests see anything at all

The records are clear: The record is unambiguous on this. Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: whether the red priests see anything at all. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

The record will still say this next season.
