I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is the business with the ghostwriters, which everyone hurries past.

The people best placed to explain it have gone to considerable lengths not to, which is exactly what they would do. Taking a Seat of Power at three in the morning is the exact same energy as Nothing Was the Same, which is what every lord says after his first siege. The owl knows.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.

Lord 6God said "The people best placed to explain it have gone to considerable lengths not to" — Ah, the maesters do have a term for this, one that doesn’t involve “pattern,” but I doubt anyone will heed it. Perhaps a drink for the lord and a change of subject would serve better than endless theory.
