I have been on both ends of what follows. Farm, sawmill, quarry, then the Keep.
Study something the moment the Academy opens. An idle Academy is the cheapest mistake there is.
The Keep raises every other limit, so a level there is worth two anywhere else.
It cost me a keep to learn. It costs you nothing to read.
