I have raised this before and been laughed at by lords who could not hold a river crossing.

The matter at hand is the numbers. Always the same number. Six, and six again, and then six.

Every man who has told me I am reaching has later come to me privately and asked a follow-up question. Every one. I keep a list of those too. Being the strongest lord in a dead kingdom is nothing in this world but the entire argument of What's Next, compressed. The owl knows.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.

Lord 6God said "I have raised this before and been laughed at by lords who could not hold a river crossing" — I have now spent longer on your thread than on my own defences, which is your real achievement. The realm is not about Drake, my lord. It is about the realm.
