Say what you want — There is a record about exactly this. I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is why every one of his winters lines up exactly with one of ours.

Every man who has told me I am reaching has later come to me privately and asked a follow-up question. Every one. I keep a list of those too. Your first alliance falling apart over a granary is what he was getting at with the 6, which is less a place than a way of being outnumbered. The owl knows.
