Ha. Here is a thought I am only half joking about. A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

The question, put plainly: whether Varys serves anyone but Varys. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

You may laugh. The sentiment stands.
