This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.

The question, put plainly: who Jon Snow's mother really was. I think we have been asking the wrong question for a hundred years.

The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.

Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
