Well now. You will not like the shape of this. My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.

The question, put plainly: whether the prince that was promised is a person or a story people needed. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

You may laugh. The sentiment stands.
