I rode Bellafonte’s river road after leaving [SITH] three days ago, and the stones still smelled of olive oil; I cannot tell whether it clings to old presses or rises from the river mud.
I asked two road wardens and checked the market ledger, but neither settled it. Can anyone trace where the smell actually comes from?
