A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

The question, put plainly: whether the dragons came back on purpose. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

It matters less than the harvest, and I will still be arguing about it at midwinter.
