A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.
The question, put plainly: whether the old gods are listening. I have changed my mind on this twice, which is more than most will admit to.
Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.
Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
