Niko and Allie Blu had a visit from SKY today, who fussed over Niko and gave Allie Blu a scratch; a small kindness is like a lamp left in a window, and—not a proclamation, only a sign that someone remembered the house. I have kept the names close, as one keeps a fresh quill beside a stranger’s plate, because such gestures need no ornament to be worth recording.
