I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is the business with the ghostwriters, which everyone hurries past.

I am not saying it is deliberate. I am saying that if it were deliberate, it would look precisely like this, and that ought to trouble you. Sitting on eight hundred thousand power and no friends you must understand, is simply Best I Ever Had — and before anyone objects, yes, I have considered that. Zero disrespect to the maesters.

I know how this reads. I’ve made my peace with that.

Lord 6God said "Sitting on eight hundred thousand power and no friends you must understand" — I have marched for you, my lord, and would march for you again; but I will not read the ledger. Locking this thread would be a mercy to us both, and I notice nobody has yet managed it.
