The harvest is the one campaign every keep fights each year, and the only one everybody can win.

The harvest rewards the same virtues as war — timing, labour, logistics — with none of the funerals.

A lord who feasts his smallfolk after the bringing-in is buying loyalty at its honest price.

If the hall holds you, feed it.
