Right, My Cheap Walls Cost More Than Troops

Right, I hold that cheap walls are a poor bargain when troops are what keep a banner standing. My level 17 keep may look stern from the road, but stone does not patrol a breach, and a siege does not politely wait for masons to finish their sums, does it?

Look, I have spent too much of my strength making a keep impressive while leaving too few swords behind it. With 5,011 troops under my banner, I would sooner reinforce the garrison than add another costly course of wall, especially when dragons make fine towers into warm chimneys.

Right, spend on soldiers first, stores second, and masonry only when the treasury can bear it. A wall saves coin once; troops save the seat every day. You can repair a cracked gate, but you cannot command an empty yard, can you?
