The wall stood until the rain found the mortar. At Vey, the chapel roof failed first, and soaked defenders broke before the stones did. Walls lie when weather finds their weak place.
I checked ashes before maps, but both showed aftermath, not cause. Do hidden damage or frightened troops decide which gives way first?
