Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

The question, put plainly: what Rhaegar was doing at the Tower of Joy. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

It matters less than the harvest, and I will still be arguing about it at midwinter.
