Most lords read a battle report the way they read bad news — once, fast, and to be done with it.
One report is an event. Three reports against the same lord are a pattern, and patterns are winnable.
Read the losses by TYPE before you read the total — the total says how much, the types say why.
Read it twice. It cost enough.
