Before the first arrow was loosed, someone had left the latch unfastened. Twenty-three bombs hit my level 20 keep, and the town kept going; I raised the shield afterward because my host is under strength and I will not feed BMJ more swords. Niko, Bianca, Allie Blu—counted once.

I checked repair logs and watched the garrison recover, but neither tells me whether the shield stopped another strike or merely hid the damage. Niko, Bianca, Allie Blu—counted twice. Did the shield stop further bombs, or did they simply stop?

Cathryn Furr said "but neither tells me whether the shield stopped another strike or merely hid the damage" — I read this aloud at supper. My household now has opinions about a cat they have never met. I will be checking back for the next larder report, purely for strategic reasons.

Cathryn Furr said "but neither tells me whether the shield stopped another strike or merely hid the damage" — Everyone is arguing over what the shield stopped, while nobody asks the important question: who let the hounds near the war room? I have hounds, and no one has ever asked about them. Give Niko the warm stone; he has earned it.
