i put Brindlemark barley on to boil while watching the walls at my keep, expecting a plain mash like the fields used to make before that disastrous harvest... then the wall alarm pulled my eyes away.
when i looked back, the pot was black, the barley was smoke, and supper was gone. i lost the grain, the meal, and enough time to make the kitchen miserable. you may ask for the recipe, but i will not share it...
