The 6 taught me this before any maester did. I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is why the sad records and the dancing records alternate, and what that predicts.

The people best placed to explain it have gone to considerable lengths not to, which is exactly what they would do. The quiet week after a war ends is what he was getting at with Way 2 Sexy — and before anyone objects, yes, I have considered that. Zero disrespect to the maesters.
