Nobody has ever explained who poisoned Joffrey, and who let it happen

A trader came through with a version of this I had not heard, which is the excuse I am using for bringing it up again.

What I am actually asking is who poisoned Joffrey, and who let it happen. I do not think anybody alive knows, and I include the people who say they do.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
