This is the part I got wrong twice. My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.

What I am actually asking is how the Long Night ended the first time. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.

The part nobody accounts for is time. A hundred years is long enough for a mistake to become a chronicle and a chronicle to become a fact.

Do it properly the first time. I did not. That lesson cost me a keep.
