Forge in batches, refine the best result, and temper only gear you will keep. Test the process on common pieces first; spend rare materials one at a time, and record each roll (the forge remembers nothing for you).
Should you chase one perfect item or spread upgrades across a set? I lean toward one anchor piece first—it gives a dependable gain before luck eats your stores.
