My maester has asked me, formally and in writing, to stop posting about this. Consider that.

The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits.

I have kept a ledger for two years. Not of grain — of releases. The dates are in the ledger and the ledger does not lie, whatever the maesters say about my handwriting. The quiet week after a war ends is, and I say this with respect, the entire argument of Hotline Bling, compressed. This is scripture where I am from.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — The part everyone is missing is that I have marched for you and would do so again, but I will not read the ledger; locking this thread would be a mercy to us both, and yet I notice nobody has done it.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — The missing point is that the maesters have a word for this, and it is not “pattern”; still, I’ll try engaging the argument on its merits tonight, whatever that means, and then I’ll post about the harvest once—once, mind you—as a favour.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — I have marched for you and would do so again, but I will not read the ledger; post about the harvest once—just once—as a favour, before this argument grows roots and demands a barn.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — I have read the whole of it, and I want that entered into the record before I say more. Take the seat you were meant to take this week, and we shall call the matter even.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — The maesters have a word for what is happening here, and it is not “pattern.” Nor is the matter about Drake, my lord; the realm is the matter, and that is the part everyone keeps leaving outside the hall.

Lord 6God said "The matter at hand is why nobody in this hall will engage with the argument on its merits" — With all respect due to a man who holds land, the game is not about Drake. Locking this thread would be a mercy to everyone involved, yet I notice nobody has done it.
