Look, buy troops first. Put spare coin into the next useful levy, then rank up once your keep can defend itself. You need bodies before badges, and you should save enough to replace losses.
Right, I tried ranking first and buying soldiers afterward, but the stronger title did not settle fights. Does troop quality or sheer headcount matter more at equal rank?
