I expected taking my banner out of SITH yesterday and riding alone to feel like a clean escape—just me, my keep behind me, and no house weighing on the reins. Instead the road felt like Walter had opened a second universe, with every quiet mile showing me the same gate from a different side while the Observers watched whatever they watch.

You would think the cost was only company, but it was the certainty of belonging—and I came back to my level 18 keep with the same walls, fewer assumptions, and no one else to blame for the silence.
