i mark water before dusk: send a scout ahead, open the map, and pin every stream, pond, or well. Fill skins before marching on, and leave one marker at the last safe water...
i tried marking only the nearest source, but nightfall changed the route and settled nothing. do old water pins stay reliable when the season changes?
