I learned more from an evening of scrolling the map than from a week of guides.
Empty ground near a strong banner is not empty — it is a moat somebody is maintaining.
Zoom out once a day. The realm-scale weather — who is growing, who is massing — is visible from nowhere else.
Read the ground before it reads you.
