My Academy has been on one branch for three weeks and I want to talk about why.
They pay no more per level than the studies under them, which annoyed me until I worked out why: a steeper slope at the top is worth most to whoever can compress the timers.
The deepest studies unlock from the LEAVES, not from a level of the keep — you cannot buy your way to the door, you have to have walked there.
Depth is the only thing coin cannot skip.
