My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.
The question, put plainly: how the Long Night ended the first time. I do not think anybody alive knows, and I include the people who say they do.
Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.
Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
