A question for the board: why the seasons here are broken

This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.

What I am actually asking is why the seasons here are broken. I have changed my mind on this twice, which is more than most will admit to.

I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.

It matters less than the harvest, and I will still be arguing about it at midwinter.
