Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

Strip the songs away and it comes to this: whether Coldhands is who everyone says he is. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.

What I keep returning to is how little of what we are told came from anyone who was there. It is all copies of copies, and each copy had a lord paying for the ink.

I expect to die not knowing, and I have made my peace with it.
