Thirty years of this and the same mistake every spring. I have watched banners dissolve twice, and once it was done with such grace it felt like a founding.
The quarrels that broke it do not need restating on the way out. The map keeps its own records.
Say it plainly when it is over — a banner that dies of silence wounds everyone twice.
It cost me a keep to learn. It costs you nothing to read. That lesson cost me a keep.
