Nobody has ever explained what happened at the Doom of Valyria

Somebody finally asked, so: Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

What I am actually asking is what happened at the Doom of Valyria. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.

There is a version of this where the truth is dull — a bad decision, a bad winter, nobody's grand design — and I have never once heard anybody argue for it.

I am trying this tonight. Come and watch.
