The harvest is the one campaign every keep fights every year, and the only one everybody can win.
The realm's calendar should turn on the harvest moon, whatever the war windows say.
The harvest rewards the same virtues as war — timing, labour, logistics — with none of the funerals.
The hearth is the victory. The rest is means.
