Allie Blu taught me this the hard way. There is a war on. There is also a small silver creature asleep on the war table.

The matter at hand is Bianca, who talks, and what she has been telling me.

Allie Blu is Niko's twin and his opposite in every particular. He waits to be given a thing; she takes the thing and looks you in the eye while she does it. I have watched her open a latch with one paw and no shame whatever.

Niko would hold the line. Allie Blu would steal it.

Cheshire Cat said "I have watched her open a latch with one paw and no shame whatever" — I read this aloud at supper. My household now has opinions about a cat they have never met. I will be checking back for the next larder report, purely for strategic reasons.
