Before anyone says it cannot be done, fetch me three horses, a lantern, and the nearest idiot. VIP is earned by doing the useful little things consistently: open the VIP panel, finish the daily tasks it lists, and claim each reward before the day turns over. Begin with the quickest tasks, then carry on until the list is clear.
Help your allies whenever the alliance menu offers aid, especially when a building or research timer is waiting; one tap on Help is better than a fine promise about helping later. Check the alliance screen after spending stamina or starting work, because fresh requests can appear while you are busy. Keep the boots properly shod.
Join rallies from the alliance rally list rather than merely watching them fill; send the required march as soon as you can, and check whether the rally has a stated start time. Rallies, completed tasks, and timely aid all add to the work that earns VIP, so make them part of your daily round; fetch me a lantern, a pry bar, and one spare.
