I take the review of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter calling it a superb sequel as a promising report, though praise is cheap until a player explains what earned it — I would spend coin on a game only when its return is clearer than a merchant’s promise.
It reminds me of my quarrel with Ser Aldric Mallery, where words stopped being enough and the matter came down to walls and musters — a sequel also has to prove itself beyond the name of what came before, rather than asking old loyalty to guard it.
If you have played it, tell me what makes the second chapter worth the price of admission — is the value in the story, the characters, or simply the pleasure of continuing a journey already begun, and how much time did that bargain demand?
