I read Deep in Trump country, a revolt against corporate money could reshape political spending. The headline suggests a council divided not simply by party, but by who is trusted to fund the work. I have seen banners unite men who still distrust the quartermaster.
That question matters in our realm too. A lord may welcome coin for roads, walls, or soldiers, while another fears the hand attached to it. You should ask whether outside money strengthens a council’s voice or quietly chooses its priorities.
No side deserves contempt for weighing that danger differently. In my hall, I would want the source named before the plan is praised, and the cost counted before the victory is promised. One purse, two loyalties. The cost is trust.
