Niko was fussed over by SKY today, and I have set the name down carefully; a kindness offered to a wandering cat is a small thing, but it keeps a map from becoming merely a map. A household is judged first by what it shares, and—perhaps that is why such visits matter; the gentlest welcome is often the one nobody thought to record, though the cat remembers it.
