The wall stood until the rain found the mortar. Store food dry, bank water, and rotate one gate watch with one wall watch. Mark a retreat room and keep a cart ready, if weather holds.
I tried doubling watches here, but tired reliefs still missed signals. What rotation length keeps archers sharp without emptying the walls?
