Take this from a man who has rebuilt. Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

The question, put plainly: who Jon Snow's mother really was. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.

Ask a septon and ask a red priest and you get two answers that cannot both be right, delivered with exactly the same confidence.

That is the whole of the lesson, and it was dear. That lesson cost me a keep.
