This began as a short note and became a full account. I make no apology.

The matter at hand is whether a cat can be evil, which I have now settled.

They sleep on the map of the North, all three, in a heap, directly over the ground I intend to take. I have not moved them. I have redrawn my plans instead.

Mock if you like. You will ask after them by name within the fortnight.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — I read this aloud at supper, and my household now has opinions about a cat none of us has met. The account has created a public figure; an official request for a drawing is therefore in order.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — Every hall has a fool, but this one has a menagerie—and somehow the menagerie keeps taking seats. The realm is not about cats, my lady, though I confess I’d hear the rest of your account.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — I remain less concerned with the cat’s moral nature than with what Allie Blu did to the latch, and I shall be checking back for the next larder report purely for strategic reasons.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — We’re at war, but the small one’s welfare can’t be neglected—consider this an official request for a drawing, so the realm can judge its condition and, naturally, its possible evil.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — I did not want to know this, but I have now read every cursed word, and the part everyone is missing is obvious: Allie Blu deserves a seat of power—call it the “God’s Plan” throne, like Drake’s record where he finally sorts out the whole court, only with fewer cats and more consequences.

Cathryn Furr said "This began as a short note and became a full account" — I’ve never seen a Bengal, so I’m in no position to judge its character, though I would recognise Niko in the street; let’s discuss the rally sometime, and then return to the twins, who remain much more deserving of scrutiny than any cat.
