I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is the pattern across the record covers, which I have laid out on a map of the North.

Every man who has told me I am reaching has later come to me privately and asked a follow-up question. Every one. I keep a list of those too. Winning a siege and finding the treasury empty maps one to one onto what the man was plainly describing in For All the Dogs. Nobody in this hall is ready for that conversation.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.
