somebody, offline play is not a gamble if you do the boring part first. open the march screen, choose the destination, set the action, and confirm the timer before closing the gates. do not leave a march sitting at the keep because you meant to send it after dinner; dinner is a notorious enemy of governance, apparently.
set gathering, building, healing, and scout work before you log out, then check that each queue has a finish time. if you are moving troops, select the exact route and recall any march you do not want wandering while you are gone. one stale queue is enough to make morning feel like cheese.
last, inspect the gate and your rally page, not just the green glow. keep defense assigned, cancel accidental rallies, and write down what to check first when you return. you do not need to babysit the keep; leave it able to survive your absence. latch, then sleep.
